How does car leasing work with Arval?
Whether new or used, buying a car is a significant investment. Fortunately, leasing offers an interesting alternative to limit costs without requiring upfront investment. This self-financing investment solution allows you to benefit from a vehicle tailored to your needs, without having to pay a large sum at the time of its provision. But what exactly is car leasing?
Car leasing: What is the difference between a long-term lease and a lease with purchase option?
You need to equip yourself with a vehicle for your business. Only, you think your cash flow is too limited. While buying a car is indeed a significant expense, other financing options exist. Equipping yourself with a company vehicle without impacting your cash flow is possible!
Is a car lease without a down payment possible?
Long-term leasing accounts for more than 64%¹ of the vehicles used by companies in France. To boost their mobility, a great majority opt for a long-term lease without a down payment.
FAQ
Long-term leasing is accessible to young companies as well as self-employed individuals and professionals. Certain documents will be requested from you to set up your contract. Long-term leasing does not, in principle, require an initial contribution at the time of contract signing. This solution allows you to quickly have a company vehicle without tying up significant capital. You benefit from a fixed monthly lease that allows you to control your budget and preserve your cash flow.
Arval supports you at every stage to define the term, mileage and services most suited to your needs. You benefit from a flexible mobility solution with a lease that suits you and tailored to your professional needs.
The documents to provide to subscribe to a Long-Term Lease contract depend on your status (micro-entrepreneur or commercial society).
For a commercial company (SASU, EURL, etc):
- A Kbis extract less than 3 months old.
- The identity document of the manager.
- The articles of association of the society.
- A proof of address.
- The financial statements and income statements of previous financial years.
- Un RIB.
For a sole trader (or a traditional sole proprietorship):
- Your ID.
- A SIRENE company situation notice (available on the INSEE website).
- The 2035 declaration or the URSSAF income certificate.
- Income statements.
- Your latest bank statements.
These documents allow Arval to review your file and propose an offer tailored to your situation.
Yes, long-term leasing helps preserve your business's cash flow. Unlike purchasing a vehicle or leasing with an option to buy, long-term leasing generally does not require any mandatory upfront payment at the time of contract signing. You therefore do not need to tie up capital and can allocate your financial resources to the development of your business. You will pay fixed monthly rentals.
You will then benefit from fixed rents, defined at the time the contract is concluded. This visibility allows you to control your budget and avoid unexpected costs related to vehicle ownership. You do not need to worry about the resale of the vehicle and its depreciation either.
If your structure allows you to deduct your professional expenses* (commercial company or sole proprietorship under the real regime), you can deduct all or part of your long-term rental lease payments from your taxable income. Rentals can be 100% deducted if the vehicle leased under a Long-Term Lease is a commercial vehicle. For a passenger vehicle, the deductible amount is capped based on the vehicle's registration year and its CO₂ emissions.
The micro-enterprise (or self-employment) does not allow you to deduct your expenses from the taxable income. This includes all your expenses, including Long-Term Rental leases.
The long-term lease agreement adapts to changes in your business and needs. You can adjust the initial mileage package, extend or shorten* the term of the contract, or modify certain services associated with the vehicle.
This flexibility allows you to maintain a fleet tailored to your business and limit unnecessary costs. You will thus benefit from an operational vehicle without the associated administrative constraints.
An early redemption may incur fees.
